Trade lawyers said some companies had received payments by Wednesday, and attorney Daniel Cannistra said one client’s refund included interest.
Cannistra said he would not identify the client or amount, while other companies were notified they were scheduled to start receiving refunds from Thursday.
The payouts follow a US Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that declared $166 billion in global tariffs unlawful, forcing the administration to return collected money.
