The accusation followed Tuesday's High-A Hudson Valley game against Winston-Salem, where Cole hit White Sox prospect Bonemer with a first-pitch 97mph fastball in the fifth inning.
Bonemer had earlier homered on Cole's fifth pitch of the game and later singled off him, while the Yankees ace allowed five earned runs and seven hits in 4.1 innings.
Cole, 35, is on a rehab assignment after Tommy John surgery in March 2025 and has a 5.79 ERA over four High-A and Double-A starts this season.
