San Antonio launches veteran small business accelerator programme

District 9 Councilwoman Misty Spears said the pilot, approved by the Economic and Workforce Development Committee, should be ready within six months and cost $350,000.
The scheme will support veterans, spouses and adult children with mentoring, business planning, finance, marketing and capital access through partners including Launch SA, UTSA and Workforce Solutions Alamo.
An annual Demo Day will bring in local officials and companies such as USAA, H-E-B and Frost Bank, as the city aims to strengthen veteran entrepreneurship and retain small businesses.
