The 74-year-old Welsh singer is in the emergency department's intermediate care unit in Algarve after surgery for an intestinal perforation.
Reports said severe abdominal pain in recent days led Tyler, who lives in Albufeira, to seek medical help before urgent treatment. Her condition is stable under constant supervision.
ULS Algarve, which runs Faro Hospital, declined to comment on an individual case. Tyler is known for hits including Total Eclipse of the Heart and was made an MBE in 2022.
