Hokit issued the challenge on Twitter on Tuesday after Strickland, speaking before Saturday's UFC 328 main event against Khamzat Chimaev, mocked his persona during a media scrum.
Strickland said Hokit's behaviour felt fabricated and likened him to a young Jake Paul, despite calling the heavyweight prospect a likeable friend he had trained with.
Hokit, an undefeated UFC heavyweight due to face Derrick Lewis on the June UFC White House card, replied that his "WWE skit" drew better ratings than Strickland's personality.
