He said Iran's highly enriched uranium would go to the United States, underground facilities would stop operating, and an agreement could come before his China trip next week.
Trump said sending Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to talks was unlikely, sanctions on Iran could be eased if a deal is reached, and bombing would resume if it fails.
He also said a Strait of Hormuz commercial-vessel escort mission was paused as talks advanced, and argued ending the conflict could release blocked oil shipments and lower energy prices.
