Spokane County deputies said the Cheney suspect tried to hit a child on a dirt bike on South Fruitvale Road, then was found about 25 minutes later at a West Melville Road home.
Witness accounts and cellphone video helped establish probable cause, and deputies later obtained a warrant for a blood sample after she showed signs of impairment, admitted drinking and allegedly resisted arrest.
The child was unhurt, and a Superior Court commissioner released the woman on her own recognizance the next day after booking on first-degree attempted assault, DUI and first-degree criminal trespass.
