DeepMind also took a minority stake as EVE developer CCP Games rebranded after a $120 million buyout from South Korea's Pearl Abyss.
The companies said experiments will run in an offline local-server version of the sci-fi game, avoiding disruption to live players while exploring AI-enabled gameplay.
