It added 310,000 digital-only subscribers in the first quarter, while revenue rose 12% to $712.2 million and adjusted operating profit jumped 27.2% to $117.9 million.
Digital-only subscription revenue increased 16.1% to $389 million, digital advertising climbed 31.6%, and digital-only average revenue per user rose 2.4% to $9.77.
Print subscription revenue fell 1.1% to $127.8 million and print subscribers dropped to 560,000; the company still targets 15 million subscribers by end-2027 and held $1.1 billion in cash and securities.
