DAZN and Germany's Bundesliga, through anti-piracy body CUII, backed the case that shut the site after more than 13 years online.
The DFL said livetv.sx accounted for a large share of illegal sports streams in German-speaking countries, calling the ruling significant for protecting broadcast rights and league revenues.
DAZN said sports piracy causes up to $28bn in annual damage and warned users such sites can expose them to malware, data theft, dark web abuse and fraudulent advertising.
