Surveying more than 8,500 workers, LinkedIn said 72% now check whether jobs are genuine and 57% are more suspicious than a year ago.
The platform said 90% of reported scam messages try to move users to private apps, while 36% of recruiters reported impersonation and high-risk posters must now verify themselves.
LinkedIn said scams are worsened by economic uncertainty, with Gen Z more likely to ignore warning signs, and warned fake listings can cost applicants time, money, data and confidence.
