At the Milken Conference in Los Angeles, Griffin said the April 15 video outside his $238 million Manhattan penthouse showed New York "does not welcome success."
He said Citadel's planned 350 Park Avenue redevelopment, projected to create 6,000 construction jobs, 15,000 permanent jobs and involve more than $6 billion, remains under discussion.
Griffin said Citadel's Miami headquarters is being enlarged, linking his reaction to past frustrations in Chicago after Mamdani promoted a pied-a-terre tax on luxury homes worth more than $5 million.
