In a CBS Sunday Morning interview, the 74-year-old musician called telling children they need not work “a form of abuse”.
He said his children have a strong work ethic and that withholding a large inheritance reflects kindness and trust that they can make their own way.
The former Police frontman is also touring with STING 3.0 and appearing in The Last Ship, a play inspired by his childhood and the city where he grew up.
