A Massachusetts jury in Dedham cleared the former Patriots receiver on Tuesday of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery charges over a 2 December dispute with Jamila Adams.
Adams testified Diggs slapped and choked her, while defence lawyers said no assault occurred, challenged her credibility and cited testimony that she showed no visible injuries afterward.
Diggs, released by New England in March after signing a three-year, $69 million deal last year, is now a free agent after the NFL monitored the case.
