The 51-year-old was moved Tuesday from Brooklyn's 94th Precinct in Greenpoint to the NYPD communications division, the Bronx 911 call centre, after a video spread online.
Police said disciplinary proceedings began because Wilson's on-duty comments about Mayor Zohran Mamdani violated department rules barring political opinions while working.
The video was recorded near a Bushwick hospital protest over an ICE operation that led to eight arrests and renewed scrutiny of whether city police were aiding federal immigration enforcement.
