The Mohave County Medical Examiner confirmed the 67-year-old reality TV star's death, while Lake Havasu City police said his phone had been sent for forensic analysis.
Officers responding on 22 April found Sheets dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and the criminal investigations unit said the case remains active pending further results.
Sheets, known as "The Gambler," appeared in more than 160 episodes of Storage Wars from 2010, and his son Brandon paid tribute online after his death.
