At his first campaign event after Maine Governor Janet Mills quit the Democratic primary, the presumed nominee also said he would use Senate subpoenas to “shut the White House down.”
Platner said Democratic senators should embrace activism and suggested there was a case to impeach and remove at least two Supreme Court justices.
His campaign has already drawn controversy over a tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol and past Reddit posts, including self-identifying as a communist and praising a Hamas raid.
