DOE launches $10m high-performance computing manufacturing funding solicitation

The programme offers up to $400,000 per project to US small and medium-sized manufacturers working with national laboratories, universities and non-profits, with concept papers due by 27 May.
Funded projects will use artificial intelligence, machine learning and digital simulation to develop new materials and improve manufacturing and industrial processes.
The solicitation sits within DOE’s HPC4Mfg programme under the broader HPC4EI initiative, managed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, with selection notifications expected in October.
