Houston police said the dead were a 52-year-old father, a 39-year-old pregnant mother, an eight-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy at a Kingston Street home.
Property records show the house is owned by Houston restaurateurs Matthew and Thy Mitchell, who run Traveler's Table and Traveler's Cart; the family has not released a statement.
Earlier reports said police were called for a welfare check after a babysitter and relative could not reach the family, and investigators have not officially identified the victims.
