A Weibo leaker said Apple will retain the iPhone 17 Pro design after users reported chipping, while some claim warranty requests were rejected as normal wear and tear.
The iPhone 17 Pro replaced titanium with an anodized aluminum unibody, and complaints focused on scratches and chips around the raised camera plateau, especially on Dark Blue and Cosmic Orange models.
Some Cosmic Orange owners also reported a pinkish color shift that in some cases led to replacements. Rumours say the iPhone 18 Pro line will launch in September 2026 in four colours.
