Ireland's Coimisiún na Meán said on Tuesday it had opened two investigations after reviews and complaint assessments into users' ability to choose what appears in their feeds.
The watchdog will examine whether Meta's handling of feed choices on Instagram and Facebook breaches the European Union's Digital Services Act.
The case adds to regulatory scrutiny of how major platforms design recommendation systems and user controls under the EU's expanding online content rules.
