Available this week to all users, the update adds controls for security systems, appliances, lighting, media and pre-2021 Nest cameras.
New automation options include arming systems, checking door-lock states, pausing robot vacuums, changing light colours and managing playback, while Nest Cam gains redesigned event history, previews, filters and faster timeline navigation.
Some features were previously limited to Early Access, and several camera upgrades still require a Google Home Premium subscription; AI-powered Ask Home and Help me create support will come later.
