Next year’s Employment Stabilization Fund is forecast to take in NT$26.3 billion and spend NT$23.4 billion, after expanded quotas for domestic caregivers and factory workers.
Workforce Development Agency official Hou Sung-yen said more foreign-worker hires would lift monthly employment stabilization fee income, while spending would rise NT$785 million.
New outlays include NT$475 million for local short-term care services and NT$176 million for respite care expansion, while 61.64% of spending is earmarked for employment promotion programmes.
