Lead investigator Neil Barofsky told the US Senate Judiciary Committee that UBS is withholding more than 22,000 pages and reviewing another 388,000 for possible redactions.
In a May 1 letter published by the committee, Barofsky said the bank had also narrowed the investigation’s scope while citing legal privilege over the material.
The independent inquiry is examining Credit Suisse’s handling of Nazi-linked accounts, with the Senate committee overseeing Barofsky’s work as scrutiny continues after UBS acquired its former rival.
