At Sunderland, Nissan will merge two lines into one with no direct job losses there, while opening talks on about 10% workforce cuts across Europe.
The plans also include a partial closure of its Barcelona warehouse and a shift to importing cars into Nordic markets under its RE:Nissan recovery plan.
Nissan said the overhaul aims to simplify operations and improve profitability, and it is reportedly exploring a deal for an external company to use part of Sunderland.
