UK government denies reported Reeves-Bessent clash over Iran

Spokesman Tom Wells said on Tuesday that Chancellor Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had constructive talks after her Washington visits last month.
He said the US Treasury had also made clear that Reeves' relationship with Bessent was productive, pushing back on a Financial Times report of an argument.
The dispute was reported to have centred on Iran policy, but the UK presented the episode as not damaging broader working ties between the two finance ministers.
