Ukraine's Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said the losses were killed or seriously wounded troops, verified through video and data from the Army of Drones ePoints system.
He said Kyiv aims to raise Russian casualties to 50,000 a month to make further advances unsustainable, arguing Moscow is increasingly struggling to replenish manpower.
Fedorov, appointed in January, also said Ukraine is expanding air defences with interceptor drones, though battlefield casualty claims from either side remain hard to independently verify.
