The Aberystwyth University cleaner received compensation including £141,348 for future lost earnings, £13,178 for pension loss and £91,702 in tax on the award.
The tribunal said her 2022 dismissal followed a breakdown with manager Catherine Green, not misconduct, and also found victimisation after a reference citing an ongoing dispute led to a job offer being withdrawn.
It ruled the university breached its disciplinary policy by giving vague allegations and failing to hear Ong’s appeal, while several of her seven consolidated claims were dismissed.
