Soh, criticised by progressives for opposing medical transitions for minors, said experts with traditional views are vilified, while Maher argued liberal media then treats appearances on conservative outlets as proof of right-wing allegiance.
Maher said he still rejects a right-wing label but would keep criticising what he called left-wing excesses, arguing such politics helped Donald Trump and deepened ideological sorting beyond media.
