Nessel said her own April 19 convention votes were misattributed as more than 6,000 delegates chose nominees for attorney general, secretary of state and university boards.
State Senator Sylvia Santana sought an independent audit, alleging 200 remote votes, 302 voters missing from the master list, duplicate registrations and incorrect or missing tallies.
The party said appeals were due by May 4 for review by an independent committee, while Nessel said the internal failures should not be equated with Michigan's state-run elections.
