The proposed $7.85m deal covers US PlayStation Network users who bought eligible digital games between 1 April 2019 and 31 December 2023, with a final approval hearing set for 15 October 2026.
The lawsuit alleges Sony monopolised digital game sales through its closed PSN store; users are included unless they opted out, while former account holders must contact the lawyers handling claims.
Sony denies anti-competition allegations, and the court will also review how payments are distributed and attorney fees. Any effect on players outside the US remains unclear.
