Pinterest shares surge 17% after earnings beat and strong guidance

The company posted adjusted EPS of 27 cents on $1.01 billion revenue, topping LSEG estimates, while forecasting second-quarter revenue of $1.13 billion to $1.15 billion.
First-quarter adjusted EBITDA was $207 million versus $176 million expected, monthly active users rose 11% to 631 million, and average revenue per user reached $1.61, above forecasts.
Pinterest still reported a net loss of $73.59 million, reversing year-earlier profit, after previously missing estimates for five straight quarters and warning in February that tariffs were hurting advertising demand.
