The 36-year-old Gwalior resident died at Jayarogya Hospital after a week of treatment, with relatives alleging he received tetanus but no anti-rabies vaccine after the bite.
Family members said he was bitten while feeding a dog outside his home and developed hydrophobia about 20 days later as his condition worsened.
He is reported as Gwalior's seventh rabies death in three to four months, amid 13,579 dog-bite cases citywide from December 2025 to April 2026.
