The airline will sell $99 rebooking tickets, start three daily Charlotte-Fort Lauderdale flights on 9 July and cap fares for travellers hit by Spirit cancellations.
JetBlue is also adding nearly a dozen routes from Spirit's Fort Lauderdale base, including Baltimore, Columbus, Indianapolis, Nashville, Detroit, Houston and Chicago.
The move follows Spirit's wind-down of operations, which left customers stranded and cost about 17,000 jobs; JetBlue said it will interview qualified affected Spirit employees.
