An Illinois federal court said a warehouse associate can take her Pregnant Worker Fairness Act claim to a jury after being fired following a request for extended maternity leave.
The judge pointed to an HR representative's alleged remark that she thought the employee was there only for maternity benefits as possible evidence of retaliation.
