Speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, the PJT Partners chief executive said Monday retail money would no longer fuel private credit AUM growth.
He said the sector faces a public-relations challenge as investors increasingly recognise many private credit products are not fully liquid.
Taubman said that means private credit is increasingly seen as an institutional, rather than retail, product, potentially reshaping future fundraising in the market.
