The passenger got out safely around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday after Beverly Hills police and Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies surrounded a gray pickup truck.
Authorities said the armed rideshare driver had led officers on a short chase after refusing to stop and was wanted for attempted murder of a peace officer.
No arrest had been reported when the standoff ended, and officials had not immediately released further details about what led to the pursuit in Beverly Hills, California.
