On 4 May, after server maintenance, PlayStation Store listings showed the former Japanese GT500 pack back on sale with 'GT500' and 'JGTC' removed from car names.
The suffixes were replaced with 'JP1' and 'JP2', following the pack's unexplained removal late last month and the deletion of earlier website and social media references.
A subsequent statement said the move was the responsible course while good-faith discussions continued, in what is widely presumed to be a licensing dispute over the original naming.
