Officials said 199,367 people in 124 villages, mostly in Albay province, were hit after a Saturday pyroclastic flow sent thick ash over Camalig, Malilipot, Ligao and Tabaco.
No deaths or injuries were reported, but ash damaged vegetable farms, killed five livestock in Camalig and reduced road visibility to near zero, prompting evacuations and cleanup operations.
Mayon has erupted mildly on and off since January and remains at alert level 3, with authorities warning the danger persists despite calmer conditions and ordering ventilated shelters in the summer heat.
