User switches to Waze on Android Auto over Google Maps

The switch followed complaints that Google Maps' traffic predictions lagged and its turn guidance was less clear, while Waze offered larger prompts and live driver reports.
The report says Waze gives earlier alerts on accidents, police, potholes and closures, plus Spotify, YouTube Music and calendar integration that reduce distractions while driving.
Waze, acquired by Google in 2013, still depends on a strong internet connection and can load slowly, while Android Auto may keep defaulting voice navigation commands to Google Maps.
