Steam on Linux marketshare drops to 4.52% in April 2026

The Steam survey showed a 0.81 percentage-point fall from March, after Linux had topped 5% for the first time.
Despite the monthly decline, Linux's share was about double April 2025's 2.27% and well above April 2024's 1.9%.
SteamOS Holo accounted for about 23% of Linux gamers on Steam, while Intel's Linux CPU share rose 0.64 points to 33% against AMD's 66%.
