Which? said the Pembrokeshire resort had a good connection only 54.3% of the time in 2025 after a local mast was decommissioned, hitting O2, Vodafone and Three users.
Locals said the outage disrupts taxi bookings, card payments and customer contact, while visitors reported struggling to call taxis, check forecasts or stay reachable during holidays.
Vodafone, O2 and Three apologised and said replacement and temporary coverage options were being explored, while EE said it was considering upgrades in nearby Penally; Tenby is a major tourist draw in Pembrokeshire.
