Owner Bill Giorgis said the Saginaw company buys about 10,000 gallons a month, with Mid-Michigan diesel now above $6 a gallon as of May 1.
The business has raised tow mileage rates, base charges and fuel surcharges, adding $8 to a base tow and $20 to a heavy-duty tow, with further increases likely.
Giorgis said the company initially absorbed costs after the start of the Iran War but is now cutting idle time and improving truck efficiency; surcharges would fall if fuel prices ease.
