The 34-year-old was charged with domestic assault after the early 1 May incident ended at Memphis Wings on North Hollywood Street, where police found him holding the child.
Witnesses said Stark ran through nearby gas stations and the restaurant shouting that his family was trying to kill him, squeezing the infant until the child appeared to turn blue.
The infant was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in non-critical condition with a facial injury; Stark is being held without bond assessment and is due in court on Monday.
