Oakland police said six adults and a juvenile were hit on 18th Street around 1:30 a.m.; all were hospitalised in stable condition and five were later released.
Investigators said the driver mounted the sidewalk after reports of a nearby fight and allegedly targeted some victims, then fled on foot, while two others trying to escape were arrested and two guns recovered.
