Police said the 45-year-old is accused of attacking Moshi Shine, 76, and Shloime Rand, 34, and separately attempting to murder Ishmail Hussein in Southwark earlier that day.
Shine, stabbed at a bus stop shortly after 11:15 BST on Wednesday, suffered serious injuries but has been discharged from hospital after a passer-by intervened and helped police track the suspect.
Witness Ashkan Asadian said he tried to disarm the attacker and barricaded him in a greengrocer's with a shopping trolley; Suleiman is due at the Old Bailey on 15 May.
