Belarus offensive threat to Ukraine is not expected, says National Guard commander

Oleksandr Pivnenko said strong Ukrainian units with drones now cover the Belarus border, preventing a repeat of Russia's 2022 push near Chornobyl.
He said Russian sabotage groups can do little and Moscow lacks forces to seize Sumy because troops are committed around Pokrovsk in Donetsk and attacks in Zaporizhzhia were repelled.
The comments follow similar assurances from border guard spokesperson Andrii Demchenko, who said Ukraine has seen no troop or equipment build-up on Belarusian territory.
