Speaking from Gleneagles Hospital in Parel, he said swelling, cold feet, leg hair loss and slow-healing wounds can indicate peripheral oedema or peripheral artery disease.
He stressed the signs are often oversimplified online and do not by themselves confirm heart disease, as swelling can also stem from prolonged sitting, high salt intake, kidney problems or liver issues.
