The 37-year-old Rochester man was discovered under the Court Street bridge nearly five hours after fleeing Monroe County booking and now faces about 10 charges.
Deputies said Fountain, arrested after a 3am stop of a stolen car, had cocaine, fentanyl and 20 methamphetamine pills, then ran while handcuffed after a deputy was knocked unconscious.
The injured officer was treated and released, Fountain was taken for medical evaluation after apparent cold-water exposure, and investigators are reviewing possible security or process failures during booking.
