Invest India said the state outperformed Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Maharashtra as FY2025-26 facilitation of more than $6.1bn across 60 projects in 14 states was projected to create over 31,000 jobs.

In 2025-26, Madhya Pradesh emerged as India's top state for job creation by generating 1.7 lakh new jobs through strategic industrial expansion, including allocating over 6,000 acres to more than 1,000 industrial units with investments worth ₹1.17 lakh crore. This growth was driven by focused policies like Ease of Doing Business reforms, attractive investment incentives, and robust infrastructure development supported by both state initiatives and national programs. Key projects such as the PM MITRA Mega Textile Park and skill development partnerships ensured inclusive employment, especially for women and rural communities. Together, these efforts boosted the state's economy, reflected in an 11.14% GSDP growth and rising per capita income, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a model for sustainable, job-led development.
